Centre Stage Theatre is a very friendly group committed to producing a wide range of entertainment to suit all tastes.
Our previous productions include comedies, musicals, concerts, our ever-popular pantomimes and even Shakespeare.
We meet every Wednesday and Sunday evening in the Members’ Lounge at the Shirley Centre. In addition to honing our performing skills, we also make the majority of our scenery, costumes and properties ‘in house’.
We warmly welcome new members interested in any of these theatre skills.

EVER THOUGHT ABOUT TREADING THE BOARDS – OR WORKING BACKSTAGE?
Centre Stage Theatre’s next production will be Trivial Pursuits, a comedy about an Amateur Operatic society’s summer barbecue, where everyone is jockeying to convince their manager Nick to put on their favourite show – or else!
Fancy taking part? Trivial Pursuits is already cast, but we are always looking for cast and chorus members (no experience necessary), as well as for backstage heroes who can help create the set, help with costumes and props, and the hundred and one other things which are needed to create a successful show.
