The Shirley Community Association has a vacancy for a Lettings Secretary based at the Shirley Centre
Initially 16 hours per week worked as four x four hour shifts – days to be agreed.
Pay – NLW + £1 per hour.
Duties
1. To promote the facilities available at the Shirley Centre
2. Answer enquiries made by email, telephone and in person.
3. Advise on availability and suitability of rooms and facilities.
4. Organise and carry out ‘show-arounds’ of the Centre for potential hirers.
5. Prepare quotations for casual events and regular room hire.
6. Liaise with caretakers with regard to individual bookings and prepare function forms.
7. Raise invoices for casual events and regular hirings (monthly).
8. Maintain accurate records of payments received and deposits returned.
9. Pay cash received into the bank.
10. Liaise with the SCA Treasurer and Finance Officer on payments received and deposits returned.
The successful applicant will have previous experience in an office-based administrative role (essential), with good organisational and time-management skills. Proficiency in basic computer skills is essential. They will have an outgoing personality, comfortable in dealing with the public and with colleagues. Some flexibility in working hours will be required to meet changing business demands.
